The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is an important body formed in colleges and universities to maintain and enhance the quality of education. It was introduced by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with the aim of promoting continuous improvement in academic and administrative performance. IQAC works as a system that plans, guides, and monitors quality-related activities, ensuring that the institution functions in a well-organized and effective way. Its focus is on creating a learner-friendly environment and preparing the institution for future challenges.
Main functions of IQAC are:
To prepare and implement strategies for academic excellence and quality improvement.
To develop a system for teaching, learning, and evaluation that is efficient and student-friendly.
To encourage innovative teaching practices and the use of modern technology.
To promote research, seminars, workshops, and training programmes for teachers and students.
To collect and analyze feedback from students, teachers, alumni, and parents for further improvement.
To ensure regular upgradation of infrastructure, laboratories, and learning resources.
To maintain documentation and prepare the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for submission to NAAC.
To promote transparency, accountability, and a culture of continuous progress within the institution.
